How To Make 3D Glasses

The hottest trend with movies nowadays are the 3D special effects. This was put to whole lot of use with the Avatar movie by James Cameron. Even TV manufacturers are wanting in on the trend by making 3D TV sets which are still costly for the masses. Despite the developments in 3D technology, there is one constant--the glasses. And, with all the "special" and stylish 3D glasses out today, it really all boils down to red and blue lenses.

A lot of materials can be used to make the lenses for your own 3D glasses. You can use some spare CD jewel case, cellophane, or hard transparent plastic, and a red and blue permanent marker.

For the frame, you can download a cut-out pattern at http://paperproject.org/PDF_files/3dglasses.pdf, or you can use an old pair of sunglasses and pop-out the lenses.

Now to put them together. Make a cut-out from a cellophane or hard transparent plastic that will fit into your chosen frame. Color them with the permanent markers. Color the right side red and the left side blue. Paste or fit them into your chosen frame and that's it, a DIY 3D Glass.
