Eid Mubarack!

Eid ul-Fitr is known as the first Eid of the year and marks the end of the month of Ramadan.

Eid ul-Fitr means the Festival of Fast-Breaking and is a time for fellowship, socialization, and good wishes. Eid is celebrated with a variety of local traditions all over the world. Visitors to nations with large Islamic populations are often caught up in the celebrations, with shouts of Eid mubarak, meaning “Happy Eid,” ringing in the streets and celebrants typically visiting each other in their finest clothes to exchange gifts and commemorate friendship. Eid is also a traditional time for forgiveness and reconciliations.

Eid ul-Fitr also means a couple of days off from work and is a time for everyone including expatriates take their families or friends to short excursions to local sites or to neighboring cities near the beach.

I'll be going to Al-Khobar again this year for the four-day Eid vacation. Pics when I come back! ^^,

Assalamu Alaikum
