Super Typhoon Megi Strikes The Philippines

This is the picture of super Typhoon Megi that hit the Philippines with 140mph winds today. The northern Isabela province is currently feeling the hardest onslaught by the locally named 'Juan.' The super typhoon is said to be the worst storm to hit the Philippines since typhoon Pepeng hit.

Also due to the trauma brought about by the catastrophe that was typhoon Pepeng, thousands of villagers in Northern Isabela province and even in nearby provinces have fled to safety. Over a hundred thousand people from southern China and some more in Vietnam have also evacuated their homes in preparation for floods that could accompany the storm.

Typhoon Megi packed sustained winds of 140mph and gusts of 162mph and could strengthen even further as it progress and moves toward Southern China or Vietnam.
